It is being widely reported this morning, that actor Damian Lewis (Band Of Brothers, Life) has signed on to play the coveted role of Sean Payton, who coached the New Orleans Saints to a dramatic victory over the Indianapolis Colts last night in Super Bowl XLIV. The film, tentatively titled “This Saint Gonna Be Easy”, will be co-directed by me, Spike Lee, Martin Scorsese and Otto Preminger and will be shown only in the dark, shadowy recesses of my own sordid imagination. “To me, Damian has always been the obvious choice for the role”, said me in a recent interview with an expired parking meter, “I mean… just look at the guy. That face. That intensity. He is Coach Payton.” When asked for comment, Lewis’ publicist threatened to scream if I didn’t leave the ladies’ room at once. No word yet on a release date, but insiders say it will probably be in a couple of minutes.
